Tandra Page 1737, Woke Racists

Visit :

I’m sitting on my back porch looking out over the yard as the rising sun brightens the Eastern sky.

I grew up in the pre-civil rights South, which is famously remembered as the South Of “Jim Crow” segregation. We were divided as required by law according to our skin colour. It was a social system wherein we were “separate but equal”. There was not a lot of equality in the system. As I was born into the system, I did not question it over much. Insofar as I was concerned, “It was the way things had always been.” I do remember people who made life miserable for the “Coloured Folks”. In my immediate family, I have no memory of anyone who targeted people because of their skin colour. My mother once admonished me; “If you mis-treat a dark skin person, you’ll not be able to sit down for a month!” There was a Mister Nelson Ramer who lived close by. He was a respected member of the community. Of course he “knew his place” in the community. “His Place” was as a second class citizen in society. There were places in town where he was not welcome because of his skin colour.

Looking back from my perspective today, I would have resented not being allowed to eat at the snack counter with the “white folks”.

As I said, I did not much question the Jim Crow South as I was growing up. Strangely enough it was the movie “To Kill A Mocking Bird” that gave me a different perspective on the world around me. That movie gave me an education and I was a better person because of it.

Even though I came of age in the Jim Crow South, no one in my circle of friends was so obsessed with “race” as is the woke crowd today. For the woke, everything is about race. The wokes are obsessed with a caste system wherein we are born into a social level from which we can never escape, no matter what we do. Even the industrial strength woke are locked into their caste and can never escape no matter how politically correct they give evidence they have become.

My cynical side suspects the part of the Critical Race Theory ideology that appeals to the superior woke crowd is that they believe they can never fall from grace.

In the Jim Crow South there were obscenities in which you could indulge of which you would become an outcast forevermore. Both the pale skins and the “Darkies” would refuse to invite you to their best parties. Even in the plantation era South, the master of a large plantation could commit atrocities that would see him barred from polite society. Even the dark skin slaves would avoid him as someone not worthy to associate with. I suspect the part of woke that attracts the woke upper classes is the assumption that whatever the disgusting acts in which they choose to participate, they can never be cast out of their lofty woke positions. They are forever protected as sainted woke activists.

In my circle of friends, the worst insult you can deliver against someone is to accuse them of being woke!

Back when the Light Bringer was candidate for president, a person I knew brought me a paper upon which was printed illustrations of the Presidents to date. One of them was printed in dark tan. The question was what set the tan candidate apart. It was the colour of is skin. Americans had to vote for the dark tan candidate because of his race so as to demonstrate we were not “racist”!? Come again? What mattered was not that the man hated this country and had sworn to fundamentally transform it. The critical attribute for the woke crowd was the colour of his skin. And that you voted for him because he had dark skin was proof you were not racist?!

In a nation wherein we are told our greatest flaw is that we are irredeemably racist, the woke are insisting race is the most important measure of a person’s character. It is beyond question the reason the woke are so obsesses with race they are advocating for a national caste system in which they are protected in their lofty woke social positions!

“In the fight for Liberty, you will find the most intense opposition coming at you from slaves who are comfortable in their chains!”
